Additional scholarships, grants, and discounts

• Academic merit scholarships

  $1,500

  New master's students who possess outstanding records of achievement are eligible to apply for academic merit scholarships.

• Leadership scholarships

  $1,500

  New master's students demonstrating exceptional records of leadership accomplishments and potential areas for further growth and leadership are eligible to apply for leadership scholarships.

• Service discount

  10% tuition discount

  All master’s degree seeking students in the School of Education and Leadership, who demonstrate service to AmeriCorps (including Minnesota Reading Corps and Math Corps), the military, or the Peace Corps, are eligible to receive service discounts. To apply, simply indicate your service as part of your admission application.

• Learning partnership discount

  Employees of our Learning Partners receive a 10% discount on tuition and a waiver of application and processing fees when newly enrolled in the following master’s programs:

  • Teaching/Initial Licensure
  • Education
  • Education: Natural Science and Environmental Education
  • Literacy Education
  • Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

• TEACH grant for master’s degree students

  The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides grants to master’s degree students who intend to teach full-time in high-need subject areas for at least four years at schools that serve students from low-income families. Students enrolled in TEACH Grant-approved programs may receive up to $8,000 for graduate study. You can visit the for more information about the TEACH Grant Program. • Minnesota Teacher Candidate Grant

  The Minnesota Teacher Candidate Grant provides financial assistance to students during the term they are student teaching. The fund is limited in size, thus not guaranteed. Note: you may apply prior to your student teaching placement. Applications received after these dates will be placed on a waiting list, but are much less likely to be awarded.  

  See the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) . Teacher candidates who belong to a group underrepresented in the Minnesota teacher workforce are given priority in the awarding process and are encouraged to apply.

• Alumni discounts

  ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø alumni are eligible to receive a 10% alumni tuition discount when they enroll in any School of Education and Leadership master’s or doctorate program.
